Jon was educated at Filton Avenue Primary School followed by Monks Park School (now Orchard School Bristol). From there he went onto study at the University of the West of England and Henley Business School. He is a qualified CIMA accountant and holds an MBA.

He has undertaken a series of Executive roles in the technology and banking industries. During his career he operated within large blue chip businesses and co-founded entrepreneurial tech-focused online education and web development businesses. Most recently Jon was Chief Financial Officer in an international Venture Capital backed legal technology business.

He has hands-on experience running Finance, Operations, Development and Human Resources teams. His wide-ranging responsibilities have included strategy formulation / execution, business planning, fund raising, marketing and leading organisations undergoing rapid change. 

Jon is married with two grown-up sons and lives in the Chew Valley. He enjoys watching rugby union and is an avid Bristol Bears supporter.
